Stick to all-natural foods instead of those produced and refined in factories. Many times those foods add items such as extra fats, oils, greases and preservatives that can really harm your body. Try shopping from the parts of the stores where you can purchase produce, healthy protein and other “from the earth” products.
Copper is an important mineral which should be a part of a healthy diet. It allows the iron to function in your body, thus preventing anemia. Copper acts as an antioxidant by protecting against free radicals. It also helps keep your bones, blood vessels and lungs healthy. You can get copper in legumes, cereal, whole grains, fish and liver.
If you have trouble eating healthy foods, try sneaking them into your usual foods. This is particularly effective if you have fussy eaters, and the strategy works even if one of those finicky eaters is you. An example would be to add some vitamins and minerals into a product that normally has little nutritional value. When you make an unhealthy blender drink, add a little fortified milk powder, or put a few white beans in your next cake recipe. Your family’s nutrition will improve without them even knowing it.
While organic isn’t something usually bought, you can grow items in limited space. You can grow strawberries and tomatoes in containers, and patio gardening can yield a shocking amount of beans and peppers, even lettuce.
